Z Custom Leathers - AWESOME

I've been thinking about upgrading my leather suit for many months. My last set of customs has done the job for the most part, and even survived a crash (requiring minor patching). Heck, they only cost me $200, but that's a long story. Unfortunately, they have always been pretty uncomfortable, and the shoulder armor usually wound up falling down behind my shoulder, which has really left me vulnerable (and probably contributed to my shoulder injury when I crashed).

After hearing really nothing but rave reviews about Z Custom leathers (based in southern California), I ordered one of their catalogs. They had done a nice job patching my old suit after the crash, and seemed good to work with. Like any quality custom suit, they aren't inexpensive, but there is no way an off-the-rack suit will work with my physique. I tried that once before and it was not even close.

I picked out a design I liked, did some photoshopping of colors to match my bikes and helmet, and sent off the order. Just four weeks later, I have a new suit!

I can't believe a suit can fit this well. It's amazing. I told them that if anything, I wanted it to be just a little bit loose-fitting, to give me good mobility to hang off the bike a lot. They absolutely nailed it. The quality is absolutely top-notch. When I put the new suit next to the old one, there really is no comparison (and my old suit wasn't that bad).

The people there were great to work with all through the process, and they got it done in exactly the time frame they said they would - actually a few days ahead of schedule. If you have been thinking about a custom suit, I highly recommend Z Custom.

Here are the requisite dorky Power Ranger photos for you to laugh at :

I would agree with what you said about ideal fit. Mine is tight in the calves and thighs where it needs to be but has a little room for movement in the upper body.

Nice suit.

Very Cool. and even if you never race you'll have your very own checkered flag with you on every lap.

Re: Z Custom Leathers - AWESOME

Well, to Z Custom for their service and repair work as well. They did a great job repairing the torn shoulder on my suit. I sent it to them last week and got it back today. Although they had to put a patch over the shoulder due to the torn leather and seam, it blends in very well, and they even fixed the little "Z"s on the shoulders. They turned it around very quickly, and the cost was reasonable (although the fast shipping wasn't cheap ). Nice job, Z Custom.
