    On crash.net

It has been announced at the Paris Motorcycle Show that Triumph have joined forces with the Team SC to compete in 2008 World Supersport Championship with the Daytona 675.
    That's good news.

I'm unfamiliar with World SS rules - Do they allow higher displacement for triples/twins?

Oh the joy.... This feeds my desire for that 675 even more! So far they seem to be pretty capable as track bikes and local fast guys are showing up with those more and more....

The current rules Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme don't contemplate a triple, but allow up to 750cc's for twins.

The appearance from both front, rear and the profile of Supersport motorcycles
must (except when otherwise stated) conform to the homologated shape (as
originally produced by the manufacturer. The appearance of the exhaust system
    is excluded from this rule.
    2.5.1 Displacement capacities
Over 400 cc up to 600 cc 4 stroke 4 cylinders
Over 600 cc up to 750 cc 4 stroke 2 cylinders

The displacement capacities must remain at the homologated size. Modifying the
bore and stroke to reach class limits is not allowed.
    2.5.2 Minimum Weights
    The minimum weights will be:
600 cc four cylinders 158 kg
750 cc two cylinders 166 kg
