That was an interesting day at Buttonwillow.
Quite depressing watching the crash cart bring in Pegram's beautiful 848 after Cathcart threw it down in 2. Then, getting to watch a Desmosedici cruising around (very slowly) in the "C" group, until Polen took it out and flogged the crap out of it for a few laps. Chased him around (for as long as I could - a few turns) just to hear that beautiful bike scream.
