DNA evidence questioned
How reliable is DNA in identifying suspects? - Los Angeles Times
I think DNA a wonderful tool but like to many other things people take it as an absolute. ALL lab tests can be screwed up. I also HIGHLY question the way the labs seem to operate. For example they send something in and ask for it to be verified, this injects a huge bias on any operator. I realize this is done to contain costs by reducing tests but.... Hopefully that has changed. However I have read many news articles that make me doubt that.  Oh and this is yet another example of statistics lie and liars use statistics. And once the lie is accepted by the courts challenging them is very hard.
