On the other hand, if you want to be absolutely sure to encounter some real jerks to comment on your heartfelt confessional, an internet forum is the most likely place to do that...

I love the sentiment about growing a set - its like everyone in charge is more interested in a popularity contest than leadership - its very disheartening.
