    Quick Throttle?

I am considering a reduced-turn throttle. I think the price is outrageous, but HRC has a 1/6 (18%) for my bike.

I am concerned about losing any more margin for error. But, I am starting to notice how awkward it is to heavy throttle off the corners. Any input is appreciated. (p.s. - On the street, it might be a bad idea, yes?)

I have them on both the RC and 600 and much prefer them. It definitely requires that much more care with input, but I don't like having to twist my wrist around so much under hard acceleration.

    Re: Quick Throttle?

I have it on mine and love it. the bike feels like it "responds" a lot better.

Not to the point of high siding but in a good way.

    I say go for it.

    Re: Quick Throttle?

I really liked mine on my 600RR. It was well worth it, IMO.

    Re: Quick Throttle?

Mine is an actual Honda Racing product. If someone doesn't come-up with a seller for your bikes, I would hit the bike specific sites. The 600RR should be no problem. My kit comes with a new cable. It is $120 - insane for $20 worth of junk.

    Re: Quick Throttle?

My HRC throttle cost less than $80 including both cables.
Get it from these guys: Rising Sun Cycles
Call them and ask which cables to use with your bike. They list the cable part numbers for the 600RR, but not other bikes. The actual $38.00 throttle housing is the same for all, but on the 600RR you'll need the stop switch from either an RC-51 or 1000RR.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government.

    Re: Quick Throttle?

My SV uses an R6 throttle - drop-in replacement costs 11.00 on ebay!

Yoyodyne has one with several cam inserts for different results. I don't know what that costs. More than 11 bucks, I bet.
