    Track Time on a 900RR??

I have a question if i decide to stick with my 900 will i have to worry about re-jetting the bike if i take it north? Say Barber or Grattan...one of the downs about not having Fuel Injection...I know I should just get a newer bike...anyway will it or could that be an issue your input as alway is appreciated.

North or South doesn't matter. Feet above sea level does. I doubt there will be much of a difference for those venues. You'd notice it someplace like Pike's Peak.

    Agreed!

I only took my 900RR ('96) to the track once, for STAR School. That was my first time ever on a track. I had a lot of fun, but was pretty clueless so it's hard to say.

You shouldn't have to worry about jetting at those elevations. You should make sure your chain and throttle cables are adjusted properly to minize any jerkiness ... oh, and be sure the nut connecting the bars to the seat says loose.

Other than that and the standard good tires and good attitude, you should be good to go.

    600s are ghey.
Especially new ones, like the 2007. That white/silver being the fruitiest of all.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government.

+1 while I might not choose a 900RR to start with you already have it making it an awesome choice. Ride it and enjoy.

After a season you will know better where you want to go There is no such thing as the right bike (except an RC51) and after a season you will know better what you want (liter/600/SV/etc.) and what goals you have (occasional day/lots of days/race).
