How to clean a Titanium Exhaust

Does anyone know what type of cleaning solution to use to clean titanium?

When I bought my 929 the dealer gave me a brillo-pad of sorts and said to use that and mild soapy water.

Will the brillo pad scratch it?

I'm sure it will if you scrub it hard enough.

I think I got one of those green scotch-brite pads with my Arata. I wouldn't use a regular Brillo pad. I've never used the scotch-brite pad, but I don't think they're supposed to scratch. Can you try it someplace inconspicuous first? I usually just hit mine up with good old Honda Cleaner and a rag.

WD40 with a fine steel wool, then contact cleaner is what I have used for several years.

What are you trying to get off of it?

I tend to use soap and water then, wd for most other things on it, if that doesn't work I have a can of "cleaner" that will take anything off... I just have to use it sparingly as they don't make it anymore...
