I probably wouldn't ever go that route but I regularly see actual "Braking" wave rotors for about $100 less than retail.
...dude you ride an offroad bike with slicks, 1/2 the weight of a GS, double the suspension, with a browning 50 cal going off 32" from your skull as a daily freaking driver - I'd expect anything except a nitro dragbike to be bland by comparison - SSG

    Let me ask you this.

you have a bike that is capable of doing well over 170mph.......are you going to feel confident in these "no name brand" rotors to stop you if they were on your bike?

I was helping an AMA privateer in 2004 that warped a set of name brand scalloped rotors in 3 laps.

Only way I'll ever have them is if they come on a bike I buy...and on a roadrace bike, they'd get changed.

Weight, where as a rotating mass, can help with turn in and acceleration. I believe cooling is also a claimed benefit.

And I read somewhere that the scalloped edging helps keep your pads cleaner (in MX applications).... I guess they must scrape off the mud/dirt/watery mess that gets clogged when you're off roading... though I've never used them personally
