I had painted prototypes at my house last week. They look friggin killer !

Understandably, there are certain details about this project I'm not at liberty to talk about yet, so please spare me the "I wanna tour the plant" remarks for now. Rest assured, they are being manufactured in Michigan. Anything related to application, test results, specifications, price, etc., I will be more than happy to answer.

What kind of bearings do these use? I was amazed at the difference between how the stock wheels spun when mounted and the Carrozzerias I purchased. The bearings in those wheels are very high quality.
Then there's the weight savings, which as you mentioned is very nice.
At the moment, it looks like All Balls All Balls Racing Home will be the supplier. We've also talked about offering a ceramic bearing upgrade at an additional cost.

Not that I'm trying to talk you in to them or anything... but if you consider a comparison of a ti exhaust system to these mag wheels:

They will both shave about the same amount of weight off the bike, but the wheels are rotating mass vs. the exhaust which is static. The difference is spinning mass causes gyroscopic effect. You reduce the weight of the wheels, and you not only take the weight off, but you also reduce the gyroscopic effect they produce. Hence, the effect of the weight savings is magnified.

They both look awesome, but everybody and their brother has a cool exhaust. How many people with a sportbike actually have cool looking aftermarket wheels? So the cool factor is higher with the replacement wheels.

They both aid in acceleration. About a wash in this category because while the exhaust ups the horsepower, the lighter wheels reduces the amount of horsepower required to spin them.

They both help quicken stopping power by reducing the amount of weight you need to stop. The wheels, however, magnify this effect because of the aforementioned reduced gyroscopic effect, where as the exhaust simply takes static weight off.

They both improve handling, but again the static weight vs. rotating weight is the key. You will notice a much bigger improvement in handling and suspension action when you take rotating weight off vs. the static weight of an exhaust.

They both cost about the same... at least OUR wheels do.

So in summary... you forked out some loot for the exhaust. It seems a no-brainer to do it again for roughly double the advantage of the exhaust.

Have I convinced you yet?

If these wheels are half as good as you say, I am sold. How long is the deal for the $198 savings on the hubs.

I seem to remember smoothrideronli drives a, what is it? US$80,000.00 BMW?
He should be able to shell out US$1000.00 with the same effort I fill up the tank in my bike for US$8.00.

Anyways, it's starting to sound like perhaps we could put together a group buy for a reduced price.

Yes. And I already have a titanium exhaust, so I'll just eat my cake.

although I really like these wheels and its a sweet deal I think suspension is next on my list.

no you shouldn't cause I already know that and don't need to be reminded of what I'm gonna get for my money.

and you mentioned the Ti exhaust, I only paid $975 for the exhaust, pc3 and custom fuel map

but if you need a guinea pig to test them I'm willing to take the chance.

yup especially since I have taken out all the preload front and rear and still come no where close to getting the sag set. I'm just way too light even for the stock light springs.

$1098 is a great deal for a set of Mg wheels. Especially if they turn out to be reliable and tough.
