I've done the same with a Shadow and a Goldwing. I think we as sportbike riders are spoiled by the clearance that we have.

Maybe that's really a "cafe racer", but I consider all things Harley as "cruisers".

I've ridden HondaGal's 2006 Yamaha Midnight Warrior. That thing kicks ass, and handles surprisingly well. If I HAD to purchase a cruiser, that'd be it. She put a Vance & Hind exhaust on it and dragbars. It looks awesome.
