Ugliest Bike!
I just made this thread onthe "other" site so I'll put it up here too.
OK. OK, we've done the best looking bike and the thread for our"dream bike" but what about motorcycles that you think are ugly and you would rather not be caught dead on one? This can have a broad range of choices so what is it? Mine? I think the Ducati Multistradas are butt ugly. Oh yeah and who can forget this gem? http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62...6/P1010022.jpg |

Re: Ugliest Bike!
Whatever the name was for the Yamaha with the non fork front suspension gets my vote. The thing lasted about 3 months before they pulled it from production. I rode one at Grattan back when it first came out and it handled even worse than it looked . . .

I think I'm going to have to agree with you. I forgot about that bike...which was probably a good thing! As a general overall "bike"...anything that says Buell on it gets my vote as well. |

Re: Ugliest Bike!
there was another bike that was very similar to it...was it the Bennelli? There was an article on it in Cycle World recently...you couldnt really tell what was the front or the back by looking at it. Also I could have sworn they said the Yamaha handled well...

Re: Ugliest Bike!
Yamaha was doing a "Press rollout" on the bike and I was invited by one of the people at Yamaha (was running TZs back then).
For driving down the road, it was okay, but they had us throw the thing around the track for the photographers and other than not being able to get the damn thing to turn and the fact that it had zero brakes and no acceleration, I guess it was pretty decent .I guess "they" were the Yamaha marketing guys . . .

Re: Ugliest Bike!
How was the feedback from the front tire? I seem to recall something in the write up about amazing feedback.

Re: Ugliest Bike!
I don't know about the ugliest bike (I can't think of anything right now), but for sure the ugliest exhausts belong to Kawasaki and Yamaha. Specifically on the Z1000 (don't know what they were thinking), and on the FZ1 (Is that a bazooka?)

My vote for ugliest bike ever goes to the new 07 GSXR1000. It's just so wrong in so many ways. |

Re: Ugliest Bike!
From the front, you have to consider the MultiStrada. Sides, I'll say the "recent"
Katanas. From the back, it's the current 'busa with a cowl... or whatever it was that just passed me, dammit!

you reffering to the Vyrus/Bimota Tesi2D? I love those 2 bikes, I think they look awesome. I believe you are correct that it was in the article about them that they mentioned the Yamaha handling well. |

They never put any of the comments I and the 4 other racers that reviewed the bike in the reviews because ummmm they didn't make good advertising copy . . .

Re: Ugliest Bike!
I'm trying to find the link, but there's a new Suzuki that was in Cycle World last month that I thought was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen. It's a new model, not yet scheduled for release here. I'll do some more searching.

Re: Ugliest Bike!
Not the article I was looking for, but it will show a bit of it. The tail is the ugliest part, I'm thinking that's why they aren't showing too many rear shots.

i agree the zx-14 is ugly, and that B-King looks like it's had a tummy tuck.

I don't see the point of it? I think that's why they went with the stubby pipes on the GSXR models, because they used ALL the piping they had available to put on that beast!![]()
