Update 3.....Udate2...Update...Got new tires with a bump!

Update at the next well last post by me couldn't figure out to attach more photos.

I just picked up my first set of mounted frenchies, and they look kinda funny?

Plus the nice dent to the lip of the rim!

Should I ask Cycle gear to remount the same tire or give me a new one? Can i just deflate it and hope it pops in or somefin?

    Update:

I went to Cycle gear and they took the tire off. Yup defective. They didn't have any 180 Pilot sports so i asked what the difference in cost would be for a 2CT. They asked if i minded having a front regular and a CT rear. I didn't care since they have the same profile. So they gave it to me without any additional charge!

to cycle gear. Plus for the military discount. for the ding in my rim but i guess it matches the other scratchs.

Goiddamit They fucking bent the lip of the rim! I have been adding air everytime i ride Since i got the new tires. Low and behold it was flat this morning so i take the rim off thinking i have a nail or something in it and it ends up being the lip! I took it back to Cyclegear and after a Umm we couldn't have done that... They agreed to fix the rim!

    I just can't fing win.

That tire is either defective or they tore the bead while mounting it. I'd be making a return trip.

I am surprised they let that out of the shop. I don't think i would run that as the bead looks hosed.

I have some really bad luck with tires. I had a bad rear dunslop i had to return a while back.

They usually do the right thing when it comes to service and returns, but i hope they are willing to change it right then and there i want to ride on saterday!

yeah, I wouldn't use that tire. Did they dent your rim???

The rim isn't dented from what i can see. Just a nice ding. I would have let it go if it wasn't for the bloody return trip to the shop. I'm not going to raise a fuss they seem to get scratched up every tire change at various shops.

Which Cycle Gear? That shouldn't have been left outta the store, I work at the one down here and there's double checklist that the employees have to sign off on and the bead is one of em.

Cycle gear is one of those places that has that 100% satisfaction deal. Good for customers, pain in the ass for employees. We had a guy return a set of 3 year old dirt bike boots, obviously abused while riding, because a seam came loose. We took em, policy = complain enough you'll get your way.
