    HRCA Dropping Towing Service

    Goodbye HRCA - ST-Owners.com Forums

Well, I won't be renewing my membership now. I checked with my State Farm agent and they don't cover towing on motorcycles, nor is it an option, so I may have to look into AAA (as mentioned by satisfied bike customers in the thread linked above)
I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

The BMW roadside assistance program covers towing too, that is what I went with.

I must be missing the point here...

Just got my paperwork, and the change seems to be that there are now 2 levels. One with and one without roadside. With roadside is $39.95...the same price as last year...

    What am I missing...

I just got the papers today...the renewal form, and a seperate letter explaining that the roadside will now be through Hondacare. Is this different than what others rec'd...

After reading through things, it sounds like they haven't dropped anything, they just moved roadside from HRCA and into Hondacare.

The letter also states that you will be able to purchase Hondacare Roadside even if you don't have an extended warranty.

This change actually seems more flexible...because now you can get the roadside ala-carte, instead of paying extra for the HRCA bennies you might not want...

Depends on what they end up charging for it I guess.

True...but right now the price is the same, so I will be signing on for at least another year. I don't think it's the gloom and doom scenario that I have been hearing about.

I picked up a AAA deal for an older vehicle last month, so I need to did into that...I may be able to get bike towing through that as well.

regular AAA doesnt cover the bike (learned that the hard way). You will need the "Plus RV" coverage.
