Wii bit of a question.
I caught a lot of crap on another board when I mentioned this about one son's PSP, but we have a Wii for my youngest son's birthday which is coming up in a week, and I am back to the same question. What kind of controls does it have for internet usage?
I think the Xbox, 360, and Nintendo DS have it set up properly, where you use the net to connect to other gamers in the context of a game, but aren't out roaming the net with a browser. Anyone with a Wii that can tell me what the options are since I am thinking hard about whether or not to let him use the wireless bridge he has for the Xbox on his Wii.
Is this going to be an all or nothing struggle. And like the PSP, will I have to worry about a simple update wiping out my parental blocks? Any clues Wii owners?

I will have to look into this and get back to you. My first response would have been to filter it at the router but its got built in wireless and could just connect to the neighbors just as easily.
How old is your youngest Fig?

My youngest is my daughter who is 9, but this is for the youngest son, who will be 13. He's the one who was with me that night we all showed up for bike night at Topanga and Ventura.

Wow time flys.
My buddy downloaded opera or netscrape for his wii already. I suppose you are wanting to control where they surf?

i think once the parental locks are in place then you need to deactivate it with your passcode to wipe off anything you have locked out. If the Wii needs to be updated then I dont think it would wipe off the parental locks. No solid evidence on this but I know it's how it works for the 360.
