Re: Sky view added to Google Earth
That's actually pretty cool. I've been trying to find ways to help the kids find the constellations from our latitude.
I've never really been good at it myself so it'll help point me in the right direction.

Re: Sky view added to Google Earth
Downloaded GE 4.2 this afternoon and found the fboweb.com layer. Shows near real time flight info. I think it updates about every 10 minutes or so but it's pretty cool. And scary...

Re: Sky view added to Google Earth
FBOWeb
I don't know if it works in earlier versions as I had already downloaded 4.2. All you have to do is put in the known info and click "Track It". When you click "Track It", you'll see the FBOWeb.com logo in the upper left corner of the Google Earth screen and your criteria will show up under My Places. Each search opens a new My Place and you can save them for repeated views. So far, I've noticed that it tracks not only the big commercial airlines (DAL, AA, etc) but I've also seen a few non-commercial aircraft listed that were just flying through the airspace.
