The Personal MBA - Mastering Business Through Self-Education
I consider myself a continually developing Business Student. I'm proud to have achieved a reasonable degree of career success, despite not having a formal college education, mostly by doing lots of reading over the years - business books, trade publications, the Wall Street Journal, etc.
I stumbled upon a guided on-line program to this approach a couple of days ago, and it looks intriguing:
The Personal MBA — Mastering Business Through Self-Education
Lots of good business book recommendations, in various categories, along with ideas about how to make the most of them.
They made reference to this article (in addition to a couple of books), which has good ideas about how to more efficiently read any non-fiction book, in an unconventional manner:

Like Will Hunting said, you could have had the same education for $1.50 in late charges from the library. I have a Bachelors and it's just a piece of paper that opens up a door, nothing more. I'm finally starting grad school in January for my MBA but we'll see if it's anything more than paper

Actually it is a piece of paper I get paid for. Sitting in the same seat with a MSEE would be worth $10K+ it also opens up job opportunities (I was approached to teach once but need a MS to do it). As far as smarter reading, doing and exploring will teach FAR more than a degree.

Re: The Personal MBA - Mastering Business Through Self-Education
Will Hunting was a fictional character that was incredibly immature. I learned just as much from my classmates in my EMBA program as I did from the readings and assignments.
