The original Gale Force. Open your heart is playing right now.

On vinyl of course. I'm guessing at about 120 dbSPL at my desk BTW . . .

My coworker on a non-business related phone call.

More metal, soon to come. Great form of catharsis.

You got some good hearing if you can hear Dave's whining over that.

The music actually has dynamics (something most listeners today are unfamiliar with), so I can still hear him during the pianissimo parts . . .

I haven't heard anything by him lately, but what a great guitarist!
I'm still listening to Joe Cocker: Ultimate collection, John Mayall: 2000 Europe Tour, Vineyard: Unspoken Truth

That happens to be a group called Dub is a Weapon (http://www.dubisaweapon.com/index.cfm), a Brooklyn-based Reggae/Dub group that I heard on XM Radio a few weeks back. I checked out their site, ordered a CD and downloaded some MP3's. I like their sound, and thought it would work pretty well on the video.

It's very nice. They weren't on Napster to go, so I'll check out their site.

I did download some Isis, tragically hip, and Black Keys. I like these threads for recommendations.

Re: What are you listening to?

The last week was spent emasculating the vinyl collection while Dad was in town. Turns out SoCal is a good place to be a record nerd. I haven't counted, but I'd guess I'm up to 50-80 records.

Most genres now represented...

Now listening once again to The Planets Suite (Holst), this time with the LA Philharmonic/Zubin Mehta and one of the best performances I have heard of this well worn collection.
