Hey Hammer, ever heard of Zachary Richard/Snake Bite Love? Only CD I have by him but I love it!

That said, Led Zeppelin is the titties!!! I've had LZ1 in my car stereo for well over a month - I could never tire of that album.

That is pretty creepy. Too bad too... the soundtrack is actually really good.

Actually seen him in concert at the "Moonlight Inn" in French Settlement Louisiana. That same bar is the "Boars Nest" in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. But I seen him play back in around 1990 or so, way before the movie came out. He can really play the squeeze box.

Does anybody else here do Alt. Country? I could use a few recommendations.

I'm digging this new Drive By Truckers album, and have a few Bottle Rockets (from Festus, Mizzou!) albums as well.

Rylo, Split Lip Rayfield, and Angry Johnny and the Killbillies

I'm currently listening to Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris

Thanks, brother.

Though I should have mentioned I lean more towards the rock side of Alt. Country (Drive By Truckers/Bottle Rockets/Uncle Tupelo/Georgia Satellites/etc..). The Split Lip Rayfield, in particular, is more Bluegrass than anything. Which is cool because I also really dig bluegrass.

just picked up:
All That Remains- The Fall of Ideals
Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything
Nightwish-Dark Passion Play

the Nightwish should be interesting. I bought the deluxe version which has the regular album on one disc then a bonus disc with an orchestral version of the album. should be interesting once I get to listen to both of them to compare.

Real moody shit for the most part... a bit outside my pattern but it has its place. Hard to classify... some tribal sounds, some electronic stuff and even some fucked up dark humor... (my country boner won't go down)

I heard "Queen B" on the radio and checked them out... ended up grabbing most of their stuff on iTunes.

Well, the last two things I listened to were Black Cherry by Goldfrapp and a recording of Mozart's Die Zauberflote. Black Cherry tested the bass output of my system, Mozart the mid and treble.

I just discovered Cas Haley. Pretty good. It's very beachy,laid-back kinda of music!

I think he's from American Idol, so maybe not so new for you, but I don't watch the show so he his to me!

I'll definetly buy his album.
