I originally bought a Panasonic AV50 about 4 years ago so I could put it in my jacket pocket while snowboarding and not worry about puncturing a lung if I fell on it. After 3 full years of abuse, I replaced it last year with a Nikon Coolpix S5 (6MP, .5sec startup time).
I've taken to keeping my camera with me all the time because I realized over the years that not only is life a lot more fun if you just relax and enjoy it, it's a lot funnier too. And I kept missing easy opportunities to capture the moments.
All the pics posted here are pics taken personally. Nothing downloaded or emailed. Along with the thread to get out and Ride America, I invite you all to do the same. Get out there, explore the world around you and post up your experiences. Then come here and post the pics that make you laugh, say WTF or just make you shake (or nod) your head.

I've got some pictures like that from when my dad and I drove cross country several years ago. I'll have to see if I can dig them up. Some funny stuff out there.
I have another that I can't find, which is of an RTA bus a few houses down from mine. The interesting part is that the bus is sitting on the particular property's tree lawn stuck with half of it sticking out and blocking the street. Bus driver said someone cut him off...cops said he fell asleep.
Just the other day I was leaving work and the Weinermobile drove by. I stopped next to it at the stop light and wished I had a decent camera, so I only got a crappy cell phone pic of the big weiner. I dont think the kid in me will ever grow up enough to not like the weinermobile
Confess the camera is really to feed your mullet obsession
I hope to get some cool ones this weekend. Considering a monster ride

There's an auto repair shop in a little whole in the country named Okawville, Illinois that has on their sign out front "Now hiring. Must be willing to work."

I saw this two cars in Florence, Italy, last week.
The yellow one was electric. The tomato with the white stripe is gas powered.
Also saw some electrical scooters but couldn't get the camera out in time.
"A pussy hair pulls harder than a mooring rope." Catalan saying.
The red one is a Smart... we have them here too. They are coming to the US next year through Penske dealerships.
The Smart Sport is actually a pretty decent looking 2 seater econosports car but it doesn't look like they're bringing them here. Saw a couple as they were blowing past me in the Jeep in Germany.

We have the ForTwo and the ForTwo roadster. They're sold here through Mercedes-Benz dealers and at $23000+ they're kind of a pricey fashion accessory for yuppy wives and dorks. At 15 grand I think they'd be a good deal.
