I have to say, OxyClean is the magic bullet for greasy clothes.

    Hope I'm not getting poisoned!

TV pitchman Billy Mays has died - Bay News 9

Mays was a passenger on the US Airways 737 aircraft that took a hard landing at Tampa International Airport on Saturday, an airport spokesperson has confirmed.
Mays posted about the incident to his Twitter account.
"Just had a close call landing in Tampa," he wrote. "The tires blew out upon landing. Stuck in the plane on the runway. You can always count on US Air."
Officials have not said if his death is connected to that incident.
    From the airplane article:
One passenger described feeling a "hard jolt."
(The plane) touched down and it was starting to slow down when all of a sudden it lifted up in the air and slammed back down to the ground," said Al Pietrowski. "Everything fell down from the ceiling.
    And this:

He told a local TV station, "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

Some type of un-noticed internal injury perhaps?

Thread title says, "Billy Mays" I totally read "Billy Lane" and got a little excited.

Medical examiner: Pitchman Mays had heart disease - Yahoo! News

I love the part about him giving away OxyClean at his wedding and to house guests.

It would be awesome if he required his will to be read in "Bill Mays" style. "The house I give to my wife. The car, to my brother. But wait! Theres more! You also get the motorcycle!"

They say people die in threes. Leave it to Billy Mays to throw in one extra COMPLETELY FREE.

From one of the articles, Mays apparently loved what he did, and you gotta admit he seemed to have found his calling as a pitch man. I hate infomercials as much as the next guy, but Billy Mays set the bar pretty high...but in a good way.
    I'd rather be riding

I agree with that. I've caught a few episodes of "Pitchmen" on Discovery HD over the past few weeks and, even though the guy was a self-proclaimed egomaniac, he gave everything he had to promote products created by individual entreprenuers that would help them realize the American Dream. I have a deep respect for that.

My wife and I were just talking about the number of people who actually love their profession/trade on a long drive over the weekend, and why those that don't, don't do something about it.

I can't imagine a much more important thing to do in life, other than raise any children you might have well.

Great insight and probably worthy of it's own thread. As I'm learning, raising and providing for children can impact the passion that one once had for a profession/trade...

    Yeah maybe, after Grattan.

Not much greater an obituary for a man than "he loved what he did so much he gave away OxyClean at his wedding" though.

    RIP
