    Car tire rotation.

I need to rotate the tires on my wife's Nissan Murano.
Can I just put the front two in the back and vice-versa or should I cross swap them? I don't know if I'm making myself clear...
    Let me elaborate.
Can I move the left front to the left back position, or do I need to take the tire off the rim and swap the left front for the rear back one?
    Thanks.

I always do front to back. I have heard that the belts set and reversing them is not a good idea. In the old days of bias ply I criss crossed.

    Re: Car tire rotation.

Keeping the tire on the same side is a lot easier since I wouldn't have to change tires and rims... I'll check tonight to see if they're bidirectional or not.

Sheep is correct. Most manuals these days say NOT to crisscross radial ply tires, as they will develop uneven wear patterns and the belts can shift.

    Now in stereo
    Visionaries say "Yes, we can."
    Engineers say "Not so fast."

I had to shift my belt a few minutes ago after a trip to the bathroom.
I feel so much better now.

I actually had some pull through the face of a tire years ago. Though it may have been exceeding the speed rating

I 2nd that. Never criss-cross radial tires (and what else is there these days). Always front to back.
If some is good.......then more must be better.

    Somehow I doubt that.
I changed all four tires a few thousand miles ago and the front ones are much more worn than the ones in the back.
