I noticed the same number a couple of times I picked it up and waited for quite a while...silence.

Well, lately it got bad, like twice a day. So yesterday I wrote down the number:

Tried a reverse look-up, and got nothing.

Tonight they did it again. So I called the number.

It's pure automated Chase Manhattan bank, no entry trees, just numbers to call, and oh, if you wait until the end, you can finally join the do not call registry, so I did it.

But fuck them, that's not enough. I didn't even get to yell at an operator in some third world country.

Is there anyone I can report this to for harassment? Any way I can "get" them?

And these a-holes, will never, EVER get a credit card account or banking biz from me.

Do you got a computer modem? If so create a script that calls the 800 number a few times an hour. Of course the addition to the bill on the 800 number will not be huge but...

Yeah, just write a script with pauses and random (or not random) button presses...to keep navigating through their menu, they probably don't have a dial-in timer.

every of often I get a credit card offer in the mail from them... for the card I already have through them. why do I need 2 of the exact same cards from the same bank?

B. They have to take the time to open the envelope to see there is nothing in it.

I've seen people get real creative and mail things back like spare tires so they really have to pay a lot for postage.

C. They raise interest rates and come up with new fees to pay for that labor.
