a neighbor has a convertible smart with all the bells and whistles. For what it is, it seems way over-priced, underpowered, SMALL, rough ride, has a bizarre transmission and not that fuel efficient.

I see lots of smart cars around here.
Ever seen one on the freeway? The things get tossed around like motorcycles. Outside a dense city dweller, these tiny cars look like a terrible choice for the US.

I feel just fine with my Yaris. Granted it works for me cause my commute is a bit long at 70 miles per day.
There a vehicles for many purposes. The Yaris does his very well IMO. The IQ might be a bit of a stretch and I would not buy one new because of the price. Perhaps a lightly used one if their reliability is above average and price comes down substantially. |
