STATE Championships (basically)

Well this is it, 2 years of dedication, Saturday I'll be playing in State Championships for pool. Winner goes on to compete for a shot at a National Championship. I feel good, I'm shooting the best I've ever shot so I suppose I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

Just to be clear tho, 2 yrs ago I could make 2 shots in a row to save my life, but I got tired of losing all the time and decided to put a little more effort in so I'm extremely happy to have even qualified for this chance.

My goals are set low, obviously I'd like to win but if I dont I'd like to leave smiling and not go out like a chump and thats it.

Cool. This is straight pool? Or are we talking 9 ball? Or a combo tourney?
Good luck! I wish you soft pocket cushions.

(I use to shoot a bit. But, I was better at holding the money for other people.)

Made it to the Quarterfinals before my first loss, unfortunately it was down to single elimination at that point.

I walked out in good spirits with a smile on my face, so I cant say I'm too bummed (slightly of coarse tho) Had a group of ppl that were outside that when I walked out said they thought I was the one that was going to win it all so that was a nice perk.

Nah, I dont have any quit in me. In fact as strange as it may sound, this weekend was a big confidence booster I played with the best of the best (at my handicap) and made it as far as I did which was WAY further than I expected. exactly man now you know what it's like to be in the big show and what calibre you'll be playing at and against so if anything use this as a stepping stone to improve your game and come back strong next year
