Well this is it, 2 years of dedication, Saturday I'll be playing in State Championships for pool. Winner goes on to compete for a shot at a National Championship. I feel good, I'm shooting the best I've ever shot so I suppose I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
Just to be clear tho, 2 yrs ago I could make 2 shots in a row to save my life, but I got tired of losing all the time and decided to put a little more effort in so I'm extremely happy to have even qualified for this chance.
My goals are set low, obviously I'd like to win but if I dont I'd like to leave smiling and not go out like a chump and thats it.
Made it to the Quarterfinals before my first loss, unfortunately it was down to single elimination at that point.
I walked out in good spirits with a smile on my face, so I cant say I'm too bummed (slightly of coarse tho) Had a group of ppl that were outside that when I walked out said they thought I was the one that was going to win it all so that was a nice perk.
Nah, I dont have any quit in me. In fact as strange as it may sound, this weekend was a big confidence booster I played with the best of the best (at my handicap) and made it as far as I did which was WAY further than I expected. I am going to take a couple weeks off since thats all I've done for the past 3 weeks I got other things I'd like to do with my spare time.
exactly man now you know what it's like to be in the big show and what calibre you'll be playing at and against so if anything use this as a stepping stone to improve your game and come back strong next year
