    Shit I remember when we got a big WD Caviar 40mb drive for our 386 dx40. I couldn't wait to install Space Quest from 12 5 1/4" floppies.

    I think Costco's passport to savings has has a WD 1tb 7200rpm SATA (external with firewire 400, esata, usb2) for 170$ if I recall correctly. Not bad for an esata drive - especially 1tb.
