Idaho Trip

I finally get my trip home to Idaho. It's been a year since I was last there, I've missed it. We are leaving tonight.

I hear it's pretty nice there.

I hope you'll be taking lots of pics to share! Where will you be in ID? Are you going to make it down to Miller?

I'll be in Pocatello for a day then Greenleaf (5 miles west of Caldwell) for the remainder. I'm not going to make it to Miller on this trip but I'll be back in Pocatello for the month of August and I think I'll be able to come watch the races for sure then since I'll be closer (and wifeless).

Now don't judge everything based on one crappy Red Lion hotel.

Ah yes, Greenleaf. Driven through there several times on the way to the lovely River Bend golf course in Wilder/Homedale.

Yep, that's home. I don't golf but I'm very familiar with River Bend.

Have you ever been to Owyhee Reservoir? If you take the back roads that can be a fun ride on a bike.

I've heard that, but haven't made the trip out there yet.

So close to Montana ...

Enjoy your time home. I've spent a little time in and around the Boise area. I also "get" to drive through P-tello on the way to Miller. Good times ...

P-tello was home for about 14 years of my life. I actually REALLY like it. I think the size is just right, the Californians don't like it and stay away (sorry bwhip), and there is awesome skiing 20 minutes away. My last year at Idaho State I got to the mountain 75 days. Basically every day that they were open except Sundays for the entire season. Class until 11:50, on the hill ready to go by 12:30. In addition I could leave from my house and drive for less than 15 minutes in any direction but north and have some awesome dirt bike/mountain bike riding. Cost of living is about the lowest of anywhere in the entire nation.
