Anyone got a volvo?
The wife and I picked up a V70 T5 this week. So far we are loving it, very smooth engine with really good torque. Love the space and the car is just so dang comfortable.
Anyone else drive a volvo?

Sold my ancient 740 Estate eighteen months back. Had it years. 1989, 2.0ltr 7 seat version. Huge load carrier, smooth, very comfortable. Slow, steering a bit vague, and suspension incredibly soft and boat like, but if you accept it as a different sort of motoring, a very pleasant experience. Just wallow along at a sedate pace. The icing on the cake though - the electrically heated seats. Used to have mine switched on all year round. Nothing like having a nicely warmed bum, just ask Max Mosely.
Here it is with a Citroen 2CV chassis strapped to the roof. Try that with your Ford Mustang! Rented a V70 last summer in Sweden. Much the same to be honest. Greatly improved driving experience, but nothing special, but then that's not why you buy a Volvo. Big, comfy, smooth and hewn from genuine Swedish granite. |

S80 I had would run fine when it was running but when there were issues man were there issues.
ABS module went out Brakes started to fade/go out engine mount broke the list goes on. May you not have any of these issues. Best thing to do is to slide over to one of the volvo boards and read about your model. Can't remember the one I used to frequent. |

Had a customer here last week with one of those C30s... cool-looking little car. Her and her partner bought a guzzling big lumber wagon Montero for a second car.

yep, V40. And I have had almost all the same issues as mojave954 did. Not to mention if your anywhere near six foot don't even think about it.

Yes, S60 D5, our long-distance commuting car, 100k miles in six years. Does 45-50mpg on diesel, useful at current prices. A perfect long distance cruiser for modestly-sized people, but uninvolving to drive (good and bad).

Our T5 is rated at 20/26 and so far we are doing better than that for both city and highway, so I am pleased.
