Update again

I have no fucking idea what he is doing now!!!!!!

The 2X12's on top of the 2X4's are a total loss to me. But WTF do I know.

It has rained on this project several times and I bet that cannot be good for the wafer board floor.

From the looks of it he will not get this done before winter.

Also it looks like this is going to be a 2 story addition, after I built a 6 ft fence.

I love the "Nobody Delivers Better" sign on the door with the banged up front fender.

Looks like he is going all "bungalo" on you. It might be worth a call to the building inspector to ask about certain building practices, and then mention where you saw them. Good luck.

If all else fails, maybe you can just nail some of those 2x12s to the top of your fence

The roof of the car in the back of the truck is like icing on the cake. It takes a special kind of redneck to have that much filth in the yard.

Man I won't even recognize your place next year. New heat, a/c, roof and a mansion next door

Actually by the looks of it the only way your neighbors project is ever going to get done is if you go over there and do it.

Roofing sucks. I helped my dad do his back a few years ago. That might be the worst possible job there is. At least when its hot, and with little help.

Dad has owned a roofing company for about 40 years so far, he is 66 years old and I guarantee he will outwork both me and you combined. He works full time as a prison guard and does roofing on the side. He lives in south Louisiana which is hot as hell.

Some more (little) progress here. He is not going to finish before winter I see, but by the looks of it........it will be a 2 story addition.

It does not look too sturdy to me, is this normal to do a build this way?

This thread is great! Personally, I think some kind of construction sabatoge would be appropriate. Ensure that the project gets dealt a severe blow.

When I framed houses in college we'd have decking get wet, but not REPEATEDLY get wet. We'd also have projects that looked like what you showed in your last pic when working out above garages, etc. The difference was that they only looked like that until after lunch, then we finished that area off. Anyone that knew an ounce more then his hammer would have had that addition done in a weekend with the help of a couple of buddies or some of the hockey team worth of kids he has.
