any suggestions?

i have the chance to buy back my 88 f150. i know the truck is not no historical piece, but it was my first ride, and my dad purchased it new in 88. actually, i think it was his christmas present from my mom. anyway, i have the chance to get it back, and after 300000 + miles, the interior is starting to wear and the paint is starting to go. i have the bodywork part of it covered, my buddys dad has a bodyshop. i want to redo the interior and put 2 bucket seats in it instead of the bench seat. for the drivetrain, it has the old pice o shit mazda 5 speed in it with a HO 302 in it. for the motor, i wanted to either build or have motor built. i want a 347 with a 671 or 681 blower sitting on top of it. this is where i need some suggestions. anyone know a good engine builder? i ride atvs with a guy that builds drag engines, but sometimes i wonder about his info. and does anyone know the difference in a 671 blower and 871, i tried to search it but could not find it. i want to put a built c6 tranny behind it. this will take me a while to do, but i think it would be cool to do just for the fact of the history behind the truck. i had even thought about goin with a 351 based motor. any input?

Let it die. Use that money on something worthwhile.

What he said. With the money you're talking that's one helluva trackbike, some good gear, a Spencer and a Schwantz school.

Re: any suggestions?

yeah let it go. You want a hot rod truck get a Lightning, SS/T or, the new Dodge that scared SVT into not building another lightning. Rousch and Saleen have F-150's as well. All sweet rides, with warranty's.

Re: any suggestions?

If you want a family heirloom, buy it and fix it up stock.

If you are wanting a hotrod, save your money.

that is more along the lines of what i was going for. the only reason i was going to go back to a carbed engine was because the efi in that truck is and has always been screwed up. i might could find a complete mustang harness and go that route, but the carb set up would be cheaper.
