Indy 2009: Group Ticket Buy Information

WHAT:

The 2009 Red Bull Indianapolis GP
Official site of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP

Yes, you read that correctly, it's time to get the 2009 Group Ticket Buy going already. The Speedway requires a deposit by September 29th in order for us to retain our block of seats. so I'd like to act quickly to lock in our deal for next year...

This year's Indy GP was a do not miss event, and 2009 promises to be even better, so let's get the ball rolling now!

WHEN:

Tentative Schedule:

08-28-2009 FRI - TRACK LAP - PIT WALK - PRACTICE
08-29-2009 SAT - QUALIFYING
08-30-2009 SUN - RACE DAY

*Please note, this is 2 weeks earlier in the year than the 2008 event.

SEATING INFO:

J-Stand, Section 8, Rows EE-GG-FF (2 rows from the top)
*We may have an opportunity to move up if someone cancels.)

If you did not attend this year's event, you can see the location here:
Track Map :: Official site of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP

These seats are very good, with a full view of Turns 10 thru 16, with a view down the main straight and pit entrance.

PRICING INFO:

3-Day Reserved tickets are $125/each and include:
  • Daily Bike Parking Voucher
  • Track Lap Voucher
  • Souvenir Voucher
  • 10% Merchandise Discount
*Your final price will include a small fee to cover the Speedway handling charge and postage - similar to the 2008 package.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
  • Send me a PM with the number of seats you want AND the email address you want to use for correspondence. After the initial PM, all details will be handled by email.
  • If you were part of the 2008 Group Buy, feel free to skip the PM step and email me directly.
* Once I receive your ticket request and email address, I will send you an invoice via email.

***ALL INVOICES WILL NEED TO BE PAID IN FULL BY DECEMBER 1st, 2008.***

MISCELLANEOUS TIDBITS:
  1. Tickets will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the event.
  2. It is too early to make Indy Mile arrangements. This will be handled seperately.
DISCLAIMER:
This is the info as we know it based upon our Group Buy arrangement for 2008. The Speedway has confirmed that there will not be a ticket price increase, however some details may be subject to change. I will keep you posted as these arise...

EDIT: 05-07-2009
Changed event schedule to reflect new dates for the "Track Lap" and "Pit Walk".

Just a quick reminder to begin making your plans for 2009...

It is NOT too early to start making your travel plans.

Indy hotels book up quickly once race dates are announced, so get your reservations in early!

I also encourage those that can to extend your trip by a day or two next year. The Pit Walk on Thursday and the Track Lap on Monday are well worth attending...

Stay tuned for further details....

EDIT: 05-07-2009
Due to 2009 MotoGP cost cutting measures (reduced practice time) these events have been moved to Friday. Please see the note from the Speedway below for details.
Quote:
It has been confirmed. The track lap for your group will take place Friday morning from 8am to 10am on the 28th of August. We suggest that you get there before 8am to fill out any necessary forms for you to take your lap. It was also communicated to us that we can only accept one voucher per person. As we only have a two hour window to make sure that everyone has the chance to take their lap this is the policy that was incorporated.

You know I'm in again. Just one ticket again. Momma and the girls are going to check out Indy like this year.

Is it here yet?

I think someone in Michigan needs to kidnap Abtech and bring him to Indy with them.

Bake - you need to turn the logistics over to someone else... we need to start working on the HSTA guys so we can get outfitted with KTM Adventures and cruise around the track over the weekend under the guise of "rider transport"...

* * * BUMP * * *

Polite reminder...we are only about halfway to the number required to keep our seating block.

These are fantastic seats, so if you think you are interested in making it to Indy in 2009, please shoot me a PM....complete info in post #1...

Thanks....

If we lose the block, do those of us that have already bought 2009 tickets still get a seat in the infamous Section 8?
