Maybe that will give them the funding to introduce something other than an umpteenth re-hatch of the F4. :P

In reality, this *could* be a good thing. HD has a fairly large dealer network so support for the MV *could* increase. Also, if anyone knows how to do marketing, Harley Davidson certainly does.

As long as we don't start seeing chromed out F4s with bar end tassels this has some potential.

I think Harley's grey pony-tailed brotherhood of lifestyle accessory salesmen have only proven how they can chase sports motorcycle buyers out the door with their combined HD/Buell centres.

I think folks *may* be missing the point of the deal for HD. It's not so they can (primarily) increase the MV footprint in the US; rather it's so they can gain a bigger HD footprint in Europe by using the existing MV network (at a relatively cheap price).

In this month Road Racing World the is a picture of a "US" sport bike with a Harley engine that looks just like an MV.....

I don't remember where I found this picture. I think I might have posted it already, but not sure. This is the coolest HD powered bike I have ever seen.
