Motorcycleaddicts.org Days @ Race City 2008

Who would like the opportunity to sample Calgary's finest road race course and motorsports facility?

Yes it may be a long drive for some, but when else would you get the opportunity to join all your favourite MCADX friends while:

-Splattering ground squirrels at full lean, then subsequently dodging their greasy guts!

-Avoiding massive holes on the racing line! (or not!)

-Braking hard through a 3rd-gear sweeper into a >180' hairpin... with a cement wall!

-Accellerating hard out of the "chute" with a timing tower on your left and a cement wall on your right! With oil stains from the previous night's drag racing!

You can even bring your wives and children, who will get to experience:

-Falling through a rotten plywood grandstand

-Using a piss-trough!

-Tetanus!

Get your deposits in quick! Only 80 spots available!

J/K I am bored.

Then we could make the loop down to the Spokane track, with it's highly safe runoff area, as sampled by a female racer a few weeks ago...

Oops, if I had a camera around while riding dirtbikes I'd have plenty of those to offer you though.

Are we arranging a tour of NA sub-standard race tracks? If so, let's not forget Waterford Hills - Absolutely finest road course in Detroit.

Bwahahaha...this reminds me, the only destruction derby I've ever seen was up there somewhere near PG.

I think all the rednecks left the western US and went north.

That's correct. You'd have been so scared of the concrete walls and the random muskrat crossings in 'Swamp Turn' that you wouldn't notice the patches.

I got to experience concrete walls early on in my riding career. trust me they don't budge and they like to take skin.

I also got to check out the walls at NHIS a couple weeks ago. came close to getting acquainted with the turn 3 wall. no muskrats though.

and the patches at Grattan didn't bother me at all. I used them as reference points so they actually helped.

Re: Motorcycleaddicts.org Days @ Race City 2008

I remember reading in your NHIS report that the walls were sort of close. For all the complaining we do about Grattan, it does have plenty of runoff room, most corners anyway.
