Re: DVD format

I've got an HD TV, but my DVD isn't HD. So, probably SD for me. Thanks.

Re: DVD format

Since all (or most all) of the recorders will be SD, just make it SD. When HD camcorders are prevalent, then go ahead with the HD DVD. That is, IF you're still doing the video then.

I am leaning that way. If we get enough video (two events) what is your thought on double layer vs two disk but with the lightscribe label?

I will put you down for SD (regular TV) with a pretty picture on the disc (Lightscribe)

Re: DVD format

i say to do both SD and HD on 1 disk ..but then again i have an HDDVD player that upscales quite nicely so im not too picky and to do a dual format like that would be a lot of work and probably a good deal more$$

Space. A regular DVD can hold about 60 minutes depending on compression, menus, etc. A double layer double that (but no Lightscribe labels as DL Lightscribe DVD blanks don't exist at this time). Last year I think the video was about 50 minutes long and I figure with West being on there the time will increase. So dual format on a single disk is not doable (commercial disks are all essentially DL)
