Yep lots of fun roads in the area. There is one running south out of Telico Plains that is mildy fun and almost zero traffic.

i want to go up there, i go back to the doc on the 31st about my arm so i cant give a definate until then. i got to fiending yesterday so i took the bike down the road beside my house, i never got over 15 or 20 but it felt good to ride it none the less.

i go thursday to get my arm checked again, but i had a blow out on my truck sat and it messed up my back fender, i am going to try to get my buddy to fix it before the weekend

i am not going to be ready for that kind of riding this soon. the took the pins out yesterday and i putted around a bit, but i will not be comfy with myself up there this soon.

some of the guys i chat with are talkin about going in august. any takers?

Truck with newspapers turns over on Dragon; road closed

That's the second 18 wheeler in as many days that has overturned. Be careful out there.

Sadly this is easy to see. When you have hundreds of people coming from all over and many (not all) treat a public road as a race course the police will react appropriately. I agree 30MPH is to low but in the rare occasions I go over on a weekend I see many idiots crossing the yellow and passing cars in the turns. Then add in the injury and deaths and it gets just stupid. I am sure that near 100% of the people screeching would not want to go help pick up the dead or injured. That said I wish they would also go after the trucks that should not be there at all (maybe put up a sign telling them to stop at some place for an warning escort since they cannot turn around once in.

Got to agree with the Sheep on this one.

Don't get me wrong you can ride through there faster than posted while staying in your lane and being in control. Also most cars will return the courtesy you give them and get over, so there is no need to pass illegally (let alone in a turn). That said when I go there that is not what I see. My favorite was the squid that felt it necessary to lift the front going into Gravity Cavity where he proceeded to go into the other lane going in then off the road on his side get airborne coming out of the ditch into the other lane toward a rock wall (all the way on the inside so if anyone was coming ) I waited for the boom but somehow he pulled it off. There is always one so this could have been an aberation except for the fact that 9 out of 10 bikes I counted crossed the yellow going in. These are the people ruining it not the TN police (the Governor is an though)

i wonder why they dont just close that section of road and use it just for groups like the car groups and bike groups.
