Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
I don't really know how to express the feelings in my heart about this. Everyone else has done a great job of doing that for me. So I would only like to leave this wish...
May our Father accept you into His arms in paradise never to suffer again. We'll be looking forward to meeting again and riding. God bless and keep you.

I wish I had the privilege of knowing Rich better. I never saw him without a smile on his face. And that's how I'll remember him. Godspeed, and God bless.

Sitting here a few thousand miles away. Just looked at the pictures of Richard, couldn't stop myself saying f*ck, f*ck, f*ck.
Very, very sorry to hear this tragic news. Never met the fellow but he obviously left a big mark on all your lives, and will be sorely missed.
Condolences to all family and friends. Thinking of you all.

Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
Rich, we have ridden many miles on the track and talked a great deal there too. You are a good man, you showed that every time we met. You always had a smile on your face even though small things were not going the way you liked them. Both you and Dave have been fortunate to have met and been friends for so long, you complimented each other well. My friend one day, we will ride again on the golden streets in heaven.
RIP brother

RIP very very sorry to hear this. My best goes out to all that knew him and his family. I did not know him but it sounds as though he touched many many lives and made changes for the better to them.

Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
I passed by you shortly after you arrived at the track and waved hello. You rushed over to shake my hand but I had been working on the bike and I raised it to show that it was covered in grease. You said in your usual dry sarcastic tone "ok well then how 'bout a pat on the back?" And you did just that. I barely knew you but I knew you were a great guy and I was happy to see you again. That will be my last memory of you. Good bye Richard.

Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
Rest in Peace, Rich.
As if I was an old friend, Richard greeted me with a big smile during the track walk on Monday morning and we shook hands. I barely knew him...but I knew he was a good guy.

It's not a question of how he grips it!
Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
Rich, while you and I never met outside of a random thread, it is quite obvious that you were a remarkable person to have touched so many folks the way you have. Your soul will continue on in perpetuiy through the memories that others carry on.
To Rich's family, Dave, and friends both here and elsewhere, you are in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts here in the DevilDawg house.
Rich, may you feast well at the table of the Lord and find Heaven to be plentiful with twisty roads.

I didn't get the chance to intoduce myself...well, I had the chance and didn't take it. I saw him in the paddock, made eye contact, and didn't realize who he was until I'd walked away. As I was walking away I was thinking "I should really go back and introduce myself....ahhh I'll have another shot."
I'll forever remember that moment, as he was smiling so brightly. Obviously very much enjoying just being there. I didn't know him other than on the board here, but...

Re: Rich Herald RAHVFR Rest in Peace.
I remember him as a nice guy who gave me pointers on turn one reverse from last year's event. I didn't get to speak to him this year other than a mutual "hi" as we passed, since we were both busy getting ready for the first session.
