Having firsthand experience (unfortunately) with a pretty serious crash, I can tell you guys that all of your continued support will mean a lot to RAH. When he's up to it, someone needs to print off this thread and take it to him. Keep the well wishes and prayers flowing guys and gals. This community takes care of its own like few others.

Wow... what a horrible way to start Grattan! But it sounds like Rich is in good hands. You guys are awesome to look out for him like that.

He will be in our thoughts over the next few days, but it already sounds like he is quite a fighter and with the guys looking out for him he will pull through.

I came over the hump right after he'd gone down and he was laying there on his back trying to get up... He had to have been in an incredible amount of pain. It was against all my instincts not to pull over and try to help him.

Glad it wasn't worse and wishing Richard a fast recovery.

Richard's wife, Linda, here. Dave has been uncharacteristically saintly and I am grateful for him and his wife Nancy's support and love. We all appreciate your kind words and prayers as we wait for a more positive outcome. The current condition is that he has not been conscious since the emergency room but everything possible is being monitored.
