For not being on a bike in three years it came back to me fairly quickly and another 3 years will not go by with me not on a track.
I will do anything to attend next year and each year after.
Thank you Frank for putting this together again and for all who stepped in to fill your shoes in your absence.
Thanks Etienne for shooting some video of me and for Dave for stealing my thunder with your sweaper slapper.

I just made it home safely if a bit tired.
Thanks to everyone who put so much effort into preparing this event for all of us to enjoy.
The list of special thanks is long and I'm afraid I'll forget someone so I won't list names, although if I say Steve, Brian and Tom, that probably covers 50% of all attendees.
Frank and Zoltan, most sincere thanks.
The hyperride was the highlight of the event for me. Thanks Steve.
Being able to fix the CBR was great. Thanks to everyone for your inputs.
Can't wait for next year... can we organize something else? I'll help, I promise.

Hey mister, I just wanna ride
Thank you all! This is one more noob to this group that will be back next year! This is the PERFECT way to spend the last few days of June! I met too many nice people this weekend to remember half of their names, but I will thank Frank for putting this together for us all, Thanks Abtech!

Do too.

Ditto, copy, repeat....holy cow! I'll have to say being on the rider side of MCADX Days is even better than being on the watcher side! Double WOOT! This is one of the most amazing events of which I have been lucky enough to be a part. I can't say thank you enough to all who put in hours of planning and organizing to make this happen. KUDOS!
A MILLION THANKS to everyone who offered feedback on my riding and to those who offered their bikes when mine wouldn't start on Monday. I've gained an incredible amount of confidence and insight in to how to do this thing we all love so much.
HUNKY thanks to my awesome, Super Handsome pit crew (Tornado, ONE, and JetBDude) Those MotoGP umbrella girls have nothing on you! You guys must be super patient or partially deaf to be able to put up with my endless chatter.
And a very special thanks to Kathleen, MrsSeamus. I saw her on the track during my first trip to Grattan in '07 and thought "hey, maybe I can do that, too". Without her example I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration and it was so awesome to get to know you even better this year!
And, of course, thanks to my guy & wardrobe stylist, Tornado B8. Without your encouragment, support and countless hours getting my Frankenbike ready for the trip, I'd still be at home waiting for you to return from your "guy thing". Thanks for introducing me to MCADX and your obsession. And by the way, you rock
Can't wait for '10!!

See you at Grattan
Hi All,
Thank you to everyone for making a great event fantastic.
The rain may have slowed the riding a little bit, but definitely didn't dampen the fun and socializing. It is a definite rarity where you can have fun at a track day even when you aren't riding. Thank you all for that.
Thank you N4SPD and Abtech for organizing the event, and for all of you who put in time and effort to make it something special.
I had a great, safe time, and am looking forward to next year.

Feeling the need for a road trip
Well...as usual, I can't say anything more that hasn't been said in countless posts before mine! This event (whether you ride or not) is incredible and I appreciate everything that goes into it. Thanks to every single one of you who plays a part in putting it together and making it run as smooth as it does.
A special thanks for the two up sessions: To the HondaGals for lending Paige their gear, Corey for letting someone take your bike, and to NorthernRR for bringing my girl back safe and sound! She has a BLAST out there and wouldn't be able to do it without any of you. I also appreciate the "calm down mom" support from everyone who stood by ME while she was out there!
To all my friends - old and new - Although I'm sure we'll keep in touch on the internet, I'll truly miss you during the following year. I look forward to seeing you again next June!
Yes - I am the girl creature of which he speaks... * sigh *

Thanks to everyone and I mean every last one of you. It was awesome to see all your familiar-happy faces, meet new ones and share in the fun that is our MCADX family gathering. And thanks for making DJChyk feel so welcome. I know we'll be back year after year after year.

posing for the camera
I still gotta say thanks to Frank for organizing this whole thing every year especially since he's not riding anymore.
Also thanks to everyone else that helped out in whatever capacity it was. and just thanks to everyone for making this such a great event. This is the only trackday I think I can miss a session and not care that I missed it cause there's still plenty of good times to be had.
and I can't believe I'm gonna say this considering how much of an ass he was for bringing that old picture of me but thanks for towing me around for those few laps Hammer. it was a good time even if we weren't going all that fast.

Thanks to Rob (NorthernRR) for inviting me out, then also actually haulin' my ass and bike to Grattan in his trailer.
When I snapped my caliper bolt I thought my day was done and I'd have to head into town to try and find a replacement. Clearly I forgot I was at an ADX track day and not a regular trackday. Within' seconds I had Brian, Dunlop Tom and Brett among others looking for a replacement bolt. Brett ended up having an exact caliper bolt and I was back up and running. Thanks again all of you.
I also left Grattan with a new set of rotors for my bike. ONEvcs was nice enough to GIVE them to me at no charge. Thanks again buddy!
What added to my whole experience at Grattan was the fact that I made A LOT of progress on the track. This is my first year riding on the track, and comming into the event I only had 5 trackdays under my belt.... ever. Pretty much everyone gave me some pointers and advice that improved my riding, help was everywhere; however, a big part of my progress was due to alot of time that Jetbdude (Etienne) put in with me, on and off the track. THANK YOU EVERYONE and again special thanks to E.
Again, thanks to EVERYONE!!!!
I couldn't just sit there and let someone not ride when it was in my power to help. I always make sure I bring those extra little parts just in case they are needed, whether by me or someone else. who would have thought that Honda and Suzuki use the same size caliper bolts.
you were railing out there. it really didn't show that you had only done a few days beforehand.

Thanks Dave, Eric, Pete and Scott for taking care of my suit-yep forgot it at the track-too busy making sure I did my best to say good bye and thank you to everyone. Brett and John-dont pimp me I need a video of that session from last year. Thanks Steve for letting me ride the tard-that was quite an experience. Good meeting everyone, your name may not have been mentioned but you certainly were not forgotten or appreciated.
I'm guessing this is the video you're talking about from last year http://www.motorcycleaddicts.org/mca...o-session.html this is my edit of it not Joey's that you watched at the track.

I have to say thanks to all for sure. I had a BLAST this year and am already looking forward to booking the time off for next year and bringing even more of a canadian contingency.
Richard and Corey thanks for putting up with my talkitive ass on the way down(and not so much on the way back hahaha)
Corey again for letting me ride your bike in the 2up sessions. It worked GREAT and I have never felt that good with a passenger on any bike.
Paige for again being an awesome 2 up partner, you're the best back there for sure.
Kim, well not many moms let their daughters out with me... hahaha especially not on the track... thanks for the chance to have some fun 2up. It really is a highlight of the trip for me(and apparently one of the only times I can even consider staying with JBD) I am looking forward to our two up ride next year on the back of paiges bike.
Rachel, I am looking forward to you passing me next year, as you promised...
OneVCS thanks for the rip on the motard, I loved every minute of it, even when Bwhip passed me like I was standing on the track rather than riding on it. Thanks for the ride to the timbers and just being a great friend. You are a stand up guy unlike any I know.
Brian and Randy, thanks for being the best garage partners I could ever ask for. I don't think that I touched my rear stand once all weekend. Not to mention the fact that I rode both of your bikes and had a riot on them both. Next year we will all have to get out for a few sessions together. and Brian let me know what parts you need for that 30 so I can send them to you and finally get a ride on it next year
Bwhip, thanks for the ride on the duc. I will take you up on that again next year for sure, minus the 200+ meters of pushing I had when I killed it at the bottom of the hill... hahaha
Scott(and courtney) thanks a ton for putting the stomp grips back on my bike, they stick better than ever and I feel much better on the bike because of them. Thanks for the offer on the 081KRR too, I am SURE that is where the rain came from though... hahaha... Next year I will ride that rocketship for sure.
MCADX photographers... as always the pics look so much better than I could have ever imagined. Next year my bike(what ever it is) will have a little bit of contrast to it so you guys won't have to worry about how crappy you think your pics of my bike look(I love them all 1000%)
Tom thanks for the tire help and for mounting that front. I rode a million times more comforatably after getting back to dunlops. I will be picking some up from you next year at grattan for sure.
Hondagals. The BBQ was amazing for sure. I fully intend on not having to go to town and coming back late for it next year. Either way I had chicken on a stick and it was as great as it always is.
To all the ladies who attended this year, riders or not, you all classed up the place a bunch. With this group that is much needed.
Last but not least, Etienne and Vero, You guys are always a party, I had such a good time this year be it on the track, in the garages, at the bbq or seeing you on the highway on the way home... What the Deuce... Calabogie is looking more and more like the "middle point" for us to meet now that I am moving "home" and this makes me sad, but at least it is a racetrack
To anyone else I missed, so sorry, honestly this even gets better EVERY year. I have made more friends at this event than I thought possible. thanks to all and I look forward to trying to see you all at Indy this summer.
See you at GRATTAN

thanks to everyone for a kick ass time. We both had a great time. Thanks to everyone in the pits for just being "you" and helping a newbie spectator (Amanda) feel right at home. We've decided that we'll be there next year, bike or no bike. It's too good a time to miss.

After going back through the Grattan threads, I realized I had not posted in this one yet!
So I'll echo what everyone else has pretty much said, but here are some standouts for me:
Thanks to Frank and Z for the organization and scheduling of this event. This is THE track event of the year for me, the rest are all lame in comparison.
Thanks to NorthernRR and Hammer for sharing the garage, I had an absolute blast! And thanks Hammer for the chance to ride the GSXR, hard to believe that bike is a 600 the way it pulls
Thanks Bwhip for the motard swap ride! The Aprilia is a rocket, and I'm sorry weather did not permit us to do another swap on the other bikes, but there's always next year.
Thanks Dave for bringing the RC30, hopefully that was motivation enough to get mine back together by next year.
And last but not least, a BIG thanks to Seamus for NOT remembering this thread: MTV puts all their videos online

Many thanks to everyone for the great time I had at Grattan. It was nice to meet Frank, who put together an incredible three day event. Also great to reconnect with some of the old VFR guys (Pete, Dave S, Carl). The HondaGals did yeoman's duty (yeo-woman's duty?) on the barbecue, and on and on. Props to Joey for both the shirts, and for introducing me to a great bunch of guys and a super event. Heck, I even got to try out my new welder AND the GoPro Hero cam !!!
I'll see you all again next year !!
