Thank you. When I first saw the blue tone my heart sank but I just went with it. From a distance it actually looks decent but then that is all you need for a track bike. Also the lettering doesn't disappear like my previous colors.

Thanks for the welding picture, 08silvercbr, I am re-uploading it.

This is Dan B in the act of welding some brackets that he designed and custom cut to hold the tail lights of my trailer in place, after one of the original holders broke. Before they were placed on some sort of antennas, easy to bend and eventually metal fatigue knocked one out. The current design is much more practical and robust.

I'll send some pics of the awesome finished job. He even painted it to match! I had a 1700 miles trip ahead (to Philly and back to Madison)!

    Big thanks to Dan!

uppsalo it was a pleasure to meet you that morning outside the candlestone, but I wantede to let you know after your comment of "yeah you probably don't know me because I don't post that much" you didn't have to go practice sliding your bike around just so you'd have an excuse to post more

In all seriousness though, glad to see you pulled through it ok and your spirit is left unharmed . Though I am curious...is your helmet too big on you? It looks a little large from the incredibly detailed photo's I am seeing...unless, I am just a crappy judge of this sort of stuff, seeing as I cannot buy a helmet that fits me appropriately.

Yeah, if one cannot be insanely fast, crashing is another good way to get noticed. Thanks for posting, now I know who SomeStrangeGuy is. The pleasure was mine. How was the long ride back home?

You are probably right, although it is a size S and I never considered buying XS. The hump on the leathers sometime pushes it down onto my eyes, less than ideal. I think the pads have given out, but I am done with it anyway, I need to find another flat yellow helmet somewhere.

exactly! Yes you do..and the long ride home was absolutely cold and rainy, but thats what happens when you take the ceiling out, so I was ok with that

Yeah, being able to see your chin in the faceshield (even in my crappy photos) I said damn, that might result in something weird...I just wasn't sure, maybe icon helmets fit different thats why I asked

He'd also advise to brake with four fingers and use front and rear brakes.

BTW, is there some witty way to pronounce that T-shirt, or not?

The shirt is referring to their Dainese race suits meaning you love your skin by using their protective suits. Either that or they are just really vain people

I get the concept, just I Dainese ME sounds weird.

But they look cool, they can be vain if they want.

Sorry for putting these on so late

    Hey guys and gals.

I wanted to thank everyone for such a great weekend. I've never gone to a track day were everyone was out for each other and willing to lend a hand whenever possible. Here are most of the pics I took around the paddock. Take care and hope to see everyone at the next Grattan days.
