Stupe (RRMike) and I are at the candlestick. Alreeady got my hug from Frenchie TOO! :in love: We are at the candlestick, but will be heading out to see everyone at the track shortly....
was really nice to see (hug) everyone. Missed you guys.
At the Stone...good night and see you guys in the morning
You went to bed too early...been sitting on the deck at the 'Stone with the Seamii, '08Silvers, TB8s, DaveF, and Hammer. It's great seeing everyone again!

I just rode bwhip's Duc. I'm pretty sure I saw Elvis halfway down the straight.
I don't think I'd have the balls to even throw a leg over that thing let alone twist the throttle. I know I don't have the bank account to take his bikes for a ride.

VERY fun day today. The weatherman predicted bad things, the skies threatened all day, but we wound up getting pretty much zero rain until a brief shower right at the end of the day (and another brief one during the Honda Gals' BBQ).
SO great to see everyone and ride with them. What a cool bunch of people. The BBQ was outstanding as always, despite the little shower.
As expected TornadoB8 and Jetbdude are absolutely flying. Fun to watch.
CBRVFR's new bike is really cool. Just gorgeous.
The track is definitely a workout for us that are used to riding on flat, smooth tracks (like Miller). Really interesting, with great variety and loads of challenges.
AWESOME to see Baketech today after not seeing him for a couple of years. Thanks for making the ride over! I hope you had a smooth, dry ride home.
Can't wait for tomorrow. Thanks to all who make this great event possible for us, especially Abtech. Much appreciated!
Great day. At the Hondagal's BBQ it felt far more like a family reunion than a trackday. Got knees down on the RC30 ... In front of.the photographer, too.
We couldn't have asked for a better first day! Abtech gave the customary track walk, everyone got settled into their respective groups, and the day went off without a hitch. The Hondagals' BBQ had enough food for an army, and even with a brief shower that forced a quick move of grills, chairs, and food to the tech shed, it was the highlight of the day. Definitely a great group of people (and riders!)...can't wait for tomorrow.
Lets not forget about the others that missed last/this year.
I'm just surprised that no one else is getting their balls broken as much for not showing up.
Off to bed. Hoping for another fun filled day tomorrow.
Now I just need to go find those photographers so I can update my avatar
After a soak in the hot tub and some suana time (hopefully the wool shrinks ) I am in the room and almost ready to head to day to (after sleep) Y'alls clocks being wrong is messing with me though Also everyone except JetBDude and Veronique is accessed a 1lb Maple candy fee for the clear skies. I was kind enough to take my canopy down after the second session and when the storms saw they could not wreck ANOTHER of my canopies they just passed by.
Great to see familiar faces (yes as usual I struggled with names and all but that is me not y'all) Great to meet new folks (yes I will be unable to match names on some of y'all next year so sorry ahead of time).
Hope tomorrow is as good as today.... be sure to pay the levy or I WILL put the canopy up
Abtech there is two bundles in garage #1 so if you unable to make it in tomorrow drop me a line on who is in charge at the dinner
If everything tastes like chicken..... what does chicken taste like
Glad to hear it was a great day. Ride safe. Have fun.

520 chain and new gearing to start the day. Awesome day yesterday. It was the first track day I've ever been to where there were no crashes. Taz and NH are getting great pics so I'm excited to see what they will continue to get. Hopefully the rain will hold out like it did yesterday but it's looking like some on and off stuff.

Bet my friggin tent poles and/or AR-15 upper would fit in THOSE.

woke up this morning and saw some strange looking things in the sky...
came out of the candlestick and saw a strange looking bike outside...
Mass plates, mcadx sticker (best looking thing on the bike I might add)...
wonder who it could be?
Now you have to take back a lot of mean things that you said to him...

Had a great day - Once it stopped raining. When we arrived at the track it was spitting rain and the track was damp. Things didn't improve much until about 9:30, when it stopped raining. It never got sunny, but it didn't rain again either, so by 10:30 there was a nice 'dry line' most of the way around the track.
The high point of the day for me was trading bikes with OneVCS (I rode the Aprilia, not the CBR). We tiptoed around for a couple of laps until we both got comfortable with the bikes, then wicked it up a little. By the end of the session I had an ear-to-ear grin .
The Aprilia is incredibly light, and changes direction at the speed of thought. The brakes were quite strong, and sensitive - Just like my bike, so I felt at home going into turn one. It was quite possible to hit the rev limiter before the end of the straight, even without a 'tow' - An indicated 120+. The motor is to die for - Smooth, makes glorious noises, and produces nice linear power all the way up to redline. I've always wanted one of these based on looks and specs - Now I've ridden one and want it even more.
My buddy Andre shot a few pictures between naps - Here are a couple.
I had a little play on One's Aprilia a couple of weeks ago round the roads where he lives.... totally bonkers fun
Wish I could have made it up there... I was going to come, but unfortunately, had some projects to finish at home Still.... there's always next year... and I should have the Interceptor all nice and spanking by then
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

"panniers that customs agents dread" would be a better term

we're all good, it's pretty funny how many people were like "shit I saw you posting in those Grattan threads and was like wtf man get out of here this is Grattan discussion!" evl, jbd, jh...just a few of many that were like 'oh now it makes sense' .
In JH's case, I actually saw him coming back in from taking the pic, I was laughing thinking "this part of being anonymous is pretty cool, I wonder why that guy is taking pics of my bike, I should ask"
My update is, I/we're glad we came and it was great meeting everyone today/tonight. It's been long enough, and I am VERY HONORED to have earned the 2009 sandbagger/et/bullshitter award that was especially awesome, you guys rock
