Nothing that fancy - I have a homemade bead-breaker, a set of tire spoons, a set of plastic rim-savers, and a static balancer.
I'm just down the road from you and have one of the Harbor Freight units. Used it once so far and want to make a couple updates, but it works ... also have irons and rim savers to help.
Might need to have a SE Michigan tire mounting party one of these days.

Under 50.... which is what I'd like my lap times to be. (under 1:50 that is)
I bet you're one of the few people who have gone to the new Yankee Stadium and say its a nice park. you're drinking the wrong coolaid and its screwing with your memory

Yankee stadium is shitty and overpriced. There are ya happy? (Have you ever been there btw?)
Dont make me go to the video tape now. You know there is actual footage of me almost rear ending you?

no I'm not happy, no one should have to be subjected to the stupidity that was designed into that place. Although seeing pictures of seats with great views of concrete walls does put a smile on my face.
I was gonna post the video too but the only one I checked did have the time you came pretty close to rear ending me and I didn't feel like going through the rest of them.
hey at least I'm a fast snail. I went out in the street group to make myself feel better about being slow.

Where I'm gonna be watching from I wont have to worry about any obstructions.
Whatcha doin Memorial Day weekend? You should join me in Ct for a charity ride. You'd have some fellow Bostonians there to help bust my chops. Great bunch of folks (like MCADX.org Days but for the kids)You can do all or part of it. Fri/Sat/Sun. Last stop is in Mystic, right near the RI border.

Didnt Dr. Slick pass you?
well I know I have to work Friday, and Saturday I have off but if I can get the OT I'll take it and that's pretty likely. keep me informed and send a little more info if you don't mind.
no the Doctor did not pass me. I stayed behind him on purpose. now if I could just get this damn dvd burner to work I'd be able to send him the video.

What is the typical price for mounting and balancing? I got mine coming finally. I called 3 places today and all were real close to $60 for the pair. Is it cheaper at the track, or basically the same?
L7 Motorsports in Warren will mount your tires for $20 each if you bring them in.
Remember that Dunlop will be there all three days and will mount and balance any new Dunlop tire at no charge and usually charges 10.00 to mount and balance any other brand. I don't think you will beat this price (nor the price on great tires) anywhere unless you do it yourself.

Engineers say "Not so fast."

Second that motion for sure. I had a set put on last year and they lasted 6 track days... actually they are still on the bike.
Aside from not being able to get the weights to stick very well(and no one can) things went so smooth and the tires were GREAT.

Ok thanks. Warren is a bit far. I'm about an hour straight north of Ann Arbor so probably a good hour and 15 min drive. For 20 bucks I have no problem paying RTS at the track but I might need them for Putnam/Bluegrass as my stones are running thin. This time I'll pry do them at the track and next time maybe beat on shenders door

If we do Putnam or BG I have a new harbor freight machine I just bought along with a static balancer.
