Oh, and for you MCADX Days newbies, the way the BBQ works is that I and some others bring grills. Everyone who wants to participate brings some food to share, meat to throw on the grill, salad, chips, whatever. Kinda like a potluck smorgasboard. We usually have plenty of food, and in the past I'd say at least over half of the riders hang out. It's a good time!

For those who have never been,... or had too much to remember...
The hondagals have traditionally been kind enough to set up their grill at the end of the first day of riding, and we all have a great time benchracing and eating...maybe even having a libation...or two...
I missed their bbq my first time at Grattan because...let's just say the hospital was overwhelmed that day, and I had a bit of a wait...
Last year, the gals had a very tasty oriental skewered chicken, that I managed to steal one skewer and taste! Very nice.
I brought a very small charcoal grill for anyone to use for the sole purpose that they would not have to wait a long(er) time to grill their food, and between both grills we could all reasonably sit down to eat at the same time.
Last year, I brought a keg of locally brewed root beer...mainly for during the day between sessions for anyone, for the two-up squirts and those wanting something different. It seemed to be a hit, particularly with rum aficionados from Canada!
Typing about this makes me and
The hondagal's bbq is a really, really great part of the MCADX Grattan experience. Don't miss it!

We take our fun serious around here!

Frank, would you go over (pit vehicle) rules. You have stated before in no uncertain terms that they will not be allowed on the track for obvious reasons. But is there anything else "we" should know?
just wait till you see some lonhaired guy in pigtails out on the track wear'n a thong over his leathers hahahahaha j/k...
You say that like we haven't seen it already.

Oh, yeah!! Sure, if you have room, bring it. Mine's a Weber Q, so it's not very big, and maxib's is smaller.

The dinner at The Timbers is the second best thing about this event. (riding at the track is #1) The food and friendship is second to none.
This is an international event limited to 40 riders, plus pit crew, that must not be missed. (I still want to bring my dog, but rules are rules) If you've ever wondered whether abtech really looks like a 1930's movie character...this is your chance to find out!
You will never, ever...find a better bunch of people to get together with and ride and eat and have fun. And that includes the track staff as well. One year, mrsmaxib gave a cornerworker hardanger lessons in return for finding out if I made it around the track!
Memories and friends that last a lifetime are available here. Nowhere else could you find a motocycle hanging from garage rafters. Nowhere else could you find someone to give you a tank of gas and discuss a trip to Spain. Nowhere else could you experience mc bbq and root beer from MN!
I plan on bringing my grill too. Not just to help out at the BBQ, but also to maintain 5 solid meals a day. Now you are starting to see my big trailer needs. (trying to convince someone)

There will be a designated (one time only) pit bike session on track. If your rig is 10ccs you may want to sit it out because you may not complete a lap before the session is over. Due to certain past entries, we are putting a cap at 500cc or 70 HP whichever is higher. All other track rules apply during this session.
Oh and in case other people are wondering about the avatar, it's Nick Charles (William Powell as Nick in The Thin Man). I have always critiqued my life in terms of this character (although I don't drink quite as much as he does).

Engineers say "Not so fast."

hahahahahahaha... oh i can see some cornball moments ahead.. this is gonna be a blast...
The cool thing is while there is activities like the pitbike race and two up (and sheep thong) safety is always #1. Get caught hauling ass through the pits, pulling wheelies etc and face the wrath of Abtech. So folks have lots of fun and cut up but it is all pretty under control (well except that squid Double Dan highsiding in the pocketbike race)
