Pocketbike Race Results

After extensive review, the results of the Grattan pocketbike race have been re-sorted.

The previous winning machine piloted by Evl-Twn was torn down and found to be in violation of just about every rule in the MCADX Pocketbike Race manual...

In light of this development, and the fact that he laughed shamelessly while passing his fallen partner (after he was highsided in fantastic Lorenzo-like fashion)...the race win is given to Seamus...

The award for this dubious honor was graciously donated by fellow MCADX member "Proto" aka "Tim the Enchanter"...and should be arriving at Seamus' door shortly...

Hopefully he will post a pic...

I have some video footage of this event but it's going to take me a while to find a PC with a firewire connector. I think I have a PCI card laying around somewhere...

HaHa been thinking of getting one of these as a pit bike / parking lot racer. What are the recommended models? Cheap Vrs you know?

I was thinking of this as a pit bike http://www.minipocketrockets.com/cag...pocket-rocket/ I wonder how reliable something this cheap is. Looks like fun though

That's where DoubleDan and I got ours. I have the GP RS-R and he has the Raptor.

Apparently, the weak point that we both found was in the footpeg and mount. I broke the plastic footpeg before I even got out of the pits. Can't remember who was watching, think it was Noodles and friends, but they'll tell you that as I waved on my way out I almost dumped it when my footpeg broke in half.

Dan, on the other hand, waited until he was fully up to speed approaching the bowl to snap the peg mount off.

Other than that, I was surprised it was as sturdy as it was. I fully expected the frame to snap in half.

Bake, I'll have to take the pic and upload it when I get home from work. My camera is charging.

I'd like to give a big, public thank you to proto for donating the first place trophy for Best in Show, I mean, the pocketbike race. It looks great and it even fits me.

There's a couple of good morals in this story that everyone can learn from:

1. Don't cheat, you'll eventually get caught.
2. Don't fall down and break your s**t. You'll never win that way.

Very nice!!! I'm buying a pocket bike for next year so I can get more prices... I'll try not to crash that one.

The morals of the story are "in your face" obvious, uh?

That is the website Seamus and I bought ours from. For the price they are just fine. Made in china, kind of junky, but run okay after a little assemble work.

We should've done a caption contest on that one.

Mine would have been "Drat - That's the last time I wash my bike in hot water"

You'll want to be wearing more than pants. Although that would be sweet if you could throw a lights and turn signals on it...
