other peoples... bikes

On top of the great time that I had riding at grattan this year fro our adx days, I have to say how much fun I had playing around on other peoples bikes.

No other track day I have been to has offered me the oppertunity to do that.

I had so much fun and to everyone out there that let me ride, thanks a bunch.

I don't have pics of them all but here are some of the ones that I have.

Now lets see some pics of everyone else "cheating" on their bikes.

Me hanging on for dear life on Northern's 1000rr. And he's on my 954 wondering where 25 hp went.

I also want to thank the following...

NorthernRR for the 1000RR swap, those slicks are amazing and that CRF is just nutty fast.

Bwhip, words can't describe the 1098S at full honk and that motard has some SICK top end power

Seamus, once you get that FMX uncorked my XR will have to be bored out again to keep up

Depo, that 954 has got some serious suspension, and with the tires felt extremely safe and planted everywhere on the track

I only got a couple pics on Depo's 954, but a TON on NorthernRR's motard. No wonder there's so many pics, it was too much fun to pull back in

That last session on the motards was SO much fun. you are silly fast on those things. Thanks again for the suspension help.

I was amazed by the slicks too. I felt like I could have went so much faster as they weren't moving at all, but I just didn't have the balls for it...

I didn't ride any of them but seeing all of you on them has me thinking, I just spent the last few hours searching around. I'm thinking KTM or Husky just to be different

No pics but Dan lent me his R-1. I need to get back on an R-1-it was like coming back home to my much beloved and terribly missed 99. Thanks again Dan that made my day!! my wife doesnt even want to hear me mention R-1. I think she knows I'm angling to get one soon.

It was particularly fun this year to sample a few friends' bikes, including JBD's sweet CBR600RR, evl_twn's supermoto, and evl_twn's Pegram CBR1000RR. All were awesome, and the Pegram bike was an absolute rocketship.

Thanks for the opportunities, fellas!

You make it look good.

Love that foot-out MX-style cornering technique.

Apparently the cornerworkers did not approve, thesound of Ti scraping alarms them quite a bit. On my boots of course.

In what is surely my favorite photo from Grattan this year, I can be seen giving the thumbs-up to the photographer while riding a sah-weet wheelie on JBD's nasty 600RR, whilst bwhip, fed up with my cheesing for the camera, blasts by on the inside, knee on the deck.

Thanks for the rides, JBD and NorthernRR...and to everyone else who selflessly offered up their bikes!

I think it was the bike that looked good.

Again - I really appreciate the generosity and trust. The last thing any of us wants to do is to wreck someone else's bike! I'm sure one or two guys out there wondered what the hell you ate for lunch and why you got so slow...

Next year I hope to have my own bike to bring. I would be MUCH faster on my own wheels than on someone's borrowed baby. Just need to sell a few more Photo CD's...
