The 'stone is under new ownership as of 30 June. When we got there, there was all new carpets in the hallway (only checked the first floor), new beds, and the AC units appeared to be functioning well.

The new owners were in the bar Tuesday night and mentioned they were upgrading just about everything (TVs, AC units, etc) over the next year.

Hopefully, the first thing they do is change the operating hours of the bar so it stays open after 9pm. That's just ridiculous.

The bar was only open till 9? When did that happen? A few years ago, Speed woke us up and "made" us come to the bar for drinks at around 11.
Sounds like they're making significant improvements, new beds were definitely needed. Wonder if the room price will go up? I didn't mind the 'Stone, it was mostly ok, just liked AmericInn a bit better.

The 'Stone was good for me too. Everything worked and was clean. The little breakfast in the morning was OK, just a small assortment of carbs (bagels cereal bananas) and some milk and cffee. Plenty for me once I add my morning protein powder shake. Yummy.

Anyway, it was the right location and the right price!

I visited the 'Stone one evening. The carpets were clean, the AC was cold, and the shower was warm. I'd go back, if I didn't own about 6 tents that don't get enough use.

maybe that's why the bed was like a giant pillow. I had no problems this year (other than JH breaking the toilet but like he said it was fixed by the time we got back) and no problems last year.

the TVs are certainly due for an upgrade as it looks like every one of them was picked from a yardsale. Last year I had to actually get up to turn the thing on/off.
