Video for Grattan

I just purchased a little camera to put on the bike. We are not talking about high def here but I've seen what it is capable of and for computer screen type of stuff it is really good.

It records directly on a SD card.

Here's the deal, if you want video of you around Grattan, bring a SD card and I'll chase you around the track. I'll give you the card after the session and you'll be good to go.

Here's a vid taken with that system

Will you be able to ride slow enough to chase me running (ok...a quick jog) around the track?

Hahaha funny, me keep up with him, spencers is good, they just don't work miracles... ask me 2 months ago when we had the same # of track days under our belts and I'd have a different answer...
2 races and a whack of track days under his belt adn I have 3 days at spencers and around 2000kms TOTAL this season... hahaha should be fun, no worries though, if(and when) I can't keep up, I'll be laughing too...

I hope that I have a card that I can bring.

According to the specs, 2GB is the max it will take.

1hr of recording time per 1GB
Says the description on the recorder. Not a bad price for the set, assuming it all works well.

I purchased a camera off another lister here (I'll leave him nameless because everyone seems to hate him anyway ) and the recorder would be nice for the bike, but it is only a $60 discount from the complete kit. If the bullet camera and microphone are decent, that is a great package deal. I'll be looking to see how it works at Grattan.

I've got the new video setup as well (Viosport POV.1 Helmet Cam System), although I'm still waiting for the promised new lens. If I make it to Grattan I can offer video services as well for those with SD cards, and I'm easier to keep up with than the speedy JBD.

I received notification that my lens was available.

I was also a little annoyed that they wanted a credit card deposit "in case I never shipped the other one back."

I stayed on hold today for 25mins, only to finally be sent to voicemail.

They didn't call back.

On a positive note, the new lens is supposed to be a big step up and will hopefully fix the issues I had with mine.

I got the same notification and annoying deposit request. I wrote them back saying whatever - I just need it soon. I've since e-mailed two more times asking what I need to do and when I'll get it - with no response.

I'm sure it fell on deaf ears or blind eyes, but I wrote them back and said that it was a bit insulting considering that they've had my money since December and I still don't have a fully working product (insert Viagra joke here.)

I expect to be there at this point. I'm on standby for some dumb whale-watching cruise my wife set up, but they haven't had any cancellations yet.
