Pack before you go party. Then after partying, take a shower and put on the clothes you're going to wear on the plane. This way, you can wake up at the exact last second and jump on the shuttle
Yeah, that's right. I've got lots of practice.

Glad you all had a safe and fun time!

Phobe I see you still haven't fixed your foot position and you're still wearing out toe sliders.

I think that with our friends from Idaho it was around 24 people. Less than we'd hoped, for sure, but everyone that was able to make it sure seemed to have a great time. All three of the days wound up very uncrowded, safe, and fun.
Just got home from Miller... left over 15 hours ago. Dan has another 3 hours to Edmonton and Rob another 8 to Fort Mac.
Thanks everyone for the ultimate long weekend. I love Miller and I wish I lived closer but even at 15 hours it's worth the drive.
First and foremost a big thanks Bwhip for all of your efforts in organizing this event, getting us discounts on everything, being our ambassador, representative, broker and friend, bringing everyone together and making everyone feel at home and at ease... and (offering to) share everything in your garage, including your motorcycles which I was too chicken to take you up on. And thanks for sharing your expertise on this magnificent circuit, and patiently showing me and everyone around while providing constructive criticism and encouragement. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Thanks to Purpdust for the generous use of your truck and trailer, and for being an all-round good guy and travel mate. Thank you also for going out of your way to make sure my fiancee enjoyed the trip... I doubt that the mall and the diamond dealer would have been your first choices of places to spend your Saturday, but you obliged without protest and I appreciate that. We are lucky to have you as a friend.
Thank you Wokstar for being another choice travelling partner, and for laughing along with all of our dick and fart jokes and general poor taste and crudeness. You're a hell of a nice guy and I look forward to travelling to more track days with you in the future.
Thank you Frenchie for being a entertaining and fun garage mate, and for being a genuine friend to Jessica in a place reeking with male ego and race fuel. We both feel like we've known you for years.
Thank you CBRVFR for being a fun guy to be around, and for saying "fuck" a lot so we feel weird saying it so much. You're intelligent, engaging and funny and both Jessica and I enjoyed our time with you. Dinner at Rodizio last night was a perfect wind-down to the weekend.
Thank you Sheep for being a kind-hearted and genuinely friendly soul. I appreciate your positive attitude and southern hospitality.
I could go on but it's way past my bed time... thanks to everyone who came. Hope to see you all there next year.
I have to echo all the thanks to BWhip for putting the Miller event together for all of us. Mike and I had a great time even though we were only there for Monday. It was our first time on the track in almost six months, but definitely worth the wait!
Got home at 2am this morning and now up and ready for work or whatever I'll be doing sitting in front of a computer dreaming of Utah, Miller Track, and friends.
I have more pictures that I will be posting sometime today but better get my butt to work first before my boss think I didn't come back and found someone else to replace me
My last 5 days were a blast.

I owe one in the sheep report thread for the Yellowstone loop still but this may be me heading in. I am heading out in a bit and one map s/w says it is 30 hours direct and 36 via Cortez, CO so I am heading that way. Not sure if I will stop and ride though. I am a we bit sore after 3 days of track (even if I did skip 3 sessions total ) and 700 road miles over 2 more days. Also yesterday was a rough one and I am not sure my mind will be in it enough for the four corners plan. Time will tell when I get there later today.

Trackdays are almost always fun, but as we've learned from our Grattan and Miller events, having great friends to share them with is the ultimate joy. I'm very grateful to have so many good friends from this site, with which I've shared track (and off-track) time. Thanks again to all who were there.
I had sent a thank you note to our friends at Apex Trackdays for being such great and responsible trackday providers for our group. I thought you might enjoy seeing their reply:
Thanks for the kind words, Brian. The good feelings are more than mutual; we love your group because they always ride responsibly and are a pleasure to associate with off the track as well.
We should have a schedule finalized for next year within the next week or two, and we will send you the dates so we can start trying to plan for next year.
they did do a nice job. Anything negative I would say would be minor and the positive list is long. I was happy that everyone was well behaved as I was a bit nervous getting in "A" but decided to take your advice BWhip. Glad that I did. There was only a couple of times that I had anyone close and both were people on the outside on the stripe that I could have accidentally put in the desert (glad I didn't). Those were both quick passes though and I was surprised that I hung with both of them afterwards. I figure they were having a hard time getting by and got a bit aggressive (still well within reason though). I also got passed by Shane and blew the entrance to the attitudes a bit as I was laughing so hard. WOW did he come through quick, I felt parked. Not only did I get the six feet he was by so fast that had it been 6 inches I wouldn't have noticed him until he was 10 feet in front of me .

Sounds like a fun event, maybe next year I'll make it out to this one.
