Yep, we're bummed you won't be there for sure. While it will still be fun, there's no question it will be much less entertaining without you and the fellas.

Speed's going to miss out. I'll miss him even though I won't be riding.

To clarify, Speed rode with us in A group all day the first day and half the second, then he went to shoot film in B group for some of the kalifornistani contingent he brought with him.
We all had fun regardless.

Last time I rode the full was in Round 2 of the racing series, back in April. That was the round where it was raining on and off, so I switched the 600 to street tires, and didn't get to run the RC because the header pipe broke off in practice. Best lap that day was a 3:18. I'm sure looking forward to seeing what I can do now, especially with the 1098. What were we running last Labor Day? I don't remember.

My best time last year was a 3:28.10. You were in the 26s and I think Beedy was in the 24s.

I'll be disappointed if I can't get into the teens this year.

Remember we all started off the first day never having ridden the full track and were in like the 47s+ that morning. By the end of the second day I think we were all comfortable and one more day we would have all been in the teens last year. You'll be there for sure. Of course, smart money says 'whip's gonna be under 10.

another reason my drive will be pleasant....

Fastest of the fastest guys back in April (top experts) were 3:09, 3:10 range, albeit not in optimal conditions. If I could get to consistent 3:15's, I'd be pretty darn happy!

I will have my bike and be riding the Rockies on three days after with the RR Spotting Buffalo, Elk, Moose and RMBs. Visiting the Jackalope Museum and a dinosaur area. I MIGHT even get paid to go out to Colorado which makes gas cost go to zero though it will mess up the Dino area trip. Also I will have my gear including warmers and stands I am even tossing the grill in just in case.

Plus I love road trips though my favorite is driving about 12PM in the middle of nowhere and I will not being doing that so I can keep my sleep schedule adjusted

Of course I will only have the low-fi iPod to listen to over the truck noise

toolies never heard that one and had to look it up.... Yep I am going all the way to the toolies then turning right and going 30 miles further while in Wyoming (fossil house)


As long as you do not recommend singing, I will inflict that on nobody (myself included)

I could also go to the Arabia Steamboat Museum in KC again (VERY cool).

Prep is done. The trans cooler will have to wait as my truck uses quick connect fitting that I don't have. The air filters are in the RR, spare is in for the trailer and brake fluid changed in the truck (yes that is not oil )

36 hours until I head west

a week from today at this time I SHOULD be having a nice dinner, glass of wine, relaxing, and looking forward to 5 days, 4 night just for ME (please no more bad news before that )
