Arghhhhhhhh
'09?
I know that I probably am the biggest flake in all the land, but will there be an 09 event at Miller?

I can't believe you missed out on the signup thread, which expired last month. What a bummer!
Just kidding. I'm still awaiting trackday schedules to gauge interest depending on availability. I am definitely signed up for WSBK weekend at the end of May. Those tickets are available now.
I'll keep you posted.

The hype is low.
While I wasn't able to make it last year. I would certainly love to make it this year.
Bwhip - you have a link the track day following WSBK? I'm sure my group of cronies from Bozeman will make that trip again. And with a enough planning, we may just do the track day following the races.
Today's public figures can no longer write their own speeches or books, and there is some evidence that they can't read them either.

Neither Apex nor Keigwins have posted their '09 schedules yet, so I'm still awaiting confirmation that there will in fact be a trackday following WSBK, as there was this year. I'll post up as soon as I know.

Ben Spies > You
Yeah, keep us up to speed for Miller, Brian. I doubt I will be at WSBK (usually take the family on vacation at that time, and I doubt I can pitch a race as "family fun"; although I have got my wife into watching MotoGP premier class races). But Labor Day I'm game for again. I simply love that MMP course! And three days of track riding is, well, you know THE BEST!
Also, once you get some dates, I'll see if I can drum up a couple folks from the Vegas track scene to head up to Miller for Labor Day. I had two of my Vegas buddies on board this year, but they flaked on me in the last couple of weeks before the event.

Definatley interested in this this season. I want to try and get down for the race and ride the track days after too. Depending on cost of rental, and some other stuff I shouldbe good to go.
See you at GRATTAN

My buddy at Apex confirmed that yes, there will be a trackday the Monday following the WSBK weekend at Miller. More details soon.
Also, I believe our racing series (MoM) is racing on Labor Day weekend, so we'll have to look at other alternatives if we're to plan a weekend event next year.

Blah... well as soon as some of the track day providers have thier '09 schedules up, I'd like to try to plan something, if anyone is interested.

SWEET! Thanks for getting us advance notice of this, BWhip. You can pencil me in for this one and the WSBK races.

I'm interested.
And depending on who it is with, I may be able to get some of my Montana cronies to make the trip. Any thoughts on who we might try and do this through? Apex? Is NESBA open to this?

Apex and Keigwins did the 3 days over labor day in '08 with full 4.5 mile course on each day. Maybe there is another weekend near that time frame that one of these providers will put on. We definately need to keep an eye on the '09 schedules, though.

"May 24" weekend would be great... it's a canadian long weekend and I'd love to come home from a week of riding track and other stuff. the perfect end would be a weekend of disbelief on just how crappy my lap times are compared to the big guns...hahaha
See you at GRATTAN

Keigwin will be there on June 13 & 14 - full track, with just two sessions, 1/2 hour each. Cascade Track Time came a few times in '08, but doesn't appear to be coming back in '09, especially with a new track opening in Oregon. Apex will have their full schedule up in a couple of weeks. WERA races there on May 22-24. AHRMA and MoM on Labor Day weekend. That's all I know so far.

The Apex schedule for Miller '09 was just made official:- April 11 (Sat) East Track
- April 25 (Sat) West Track
- June 1 (Mon) Perimeter (WSBK Event)
- June 12 (Sat) East Track (Evening 5:30 to 8:30)
- July 25 (Sat) West Track
- August 8 (Sat) East Track
- Sept 7 (Mon) Full Track (Labor Day)
- October 10 (Sat) West Track
The Labor Day date is interesting, as we'll be racing there with MoM on the Saturday/Sunday prior.

Thanks for the info bwhip. I'd really like to come down for WSBK and the June 1 Perimeter track day again. It was a blast last year.

Do it! And if we do it right, we can carpool down from Montana and maybe meet up with Whipper somewhere in Idaho.
