Who We Are

LAPS was started last year by Mike Arbo and Kevin Buck, two guys who wanted to offer something more than you'll find in the typical track day. Most of us at LAPS are current or prior racers and over half the instructors currently race in LRRS. All instructors are local with local track knowledge. Some for more than 20 years. And a few have multiple championships.

You've no doubt noticed a few things that we'll do differently if you've been to our website recently.

Here's just a few -

- We have both Michelin and Dunlop tire service at all our events. This tire service provider does not require you to remove the wheels from your bike - they'll do it for you if you 'd like, just wheel your bike over to them and they'll do the rest.

- WE HAVE TEACH! (Chris McNeil) #1 motorcycle stunt rider in America - #2 in the world will be doing his stunt routine during our lunch breaks - at all 2007 events. His demo video is linked on our homepage for you to check out.

- And for all you racers out there - this is for you: We have Scott Greenwood. Scott is the outright (club) lap record holder at NHIS, and although he doesn't "do" track days, he's agreed to give us his time where he will instruct and reveal some of his secrets. If you want to find out how to get around Loudon fast, don't miss this. We're working on making him our resident fast guy......We'll let you all know which dates he commits to.

- We offer on board video of your seesions, as well as professional photography.

- We have obtained a few corporate sponsors including Sullivan Brothers (Joe Rocket, HJC, Jordan Distributor) E-Racings Bodywork (See additional thread), Coca Cola, National Powersports Distributors, and Thoroughbred Cycles (Tire Service Provider).

We offer track days that are a bit different from the norm, offering more than you'd expect with a much higher value. For example, at our July 17th event we gave away, in addtion to free t-shirts and other swag, a free track day (which we will do at every event), five 1/2 off Penguin School Entry Certificates, and 3 free Penguin School Entry Certificates.
And Sullivan Brothers has stepped up and will be giving away Joe Rocket swag and gear at all events going forward.

And we haven't lost sight of what's important - track time. We adhere to a schedule strictly and you'll be on track at 9am sharp.

The plan is to do some days here at Loudon and then move on to other tracks as well. Our 5 year plan includes 50 dates at 29 different tracks east of the Mississippi River, pretty much all the major ones.

Our track day pricing for all MotorcycleAddicts members is $189.00 - including our rain insurance guarantee.

Because you shouldn't have to break the bank to go to the track.

...See, I told you we were doing things differently http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/...milies/aok.gif

I'll be getting the MotorcycleAddicts link up on our website this week to help draw new riders to the forum.

Re: Who We Are

Are these limited rider days? If so, how many riders do you allow on course compared to other organizations?

Depends on the circuit - NHIS is limited to 85.

I took that to mean 85 on the track at once.

I sure hope not, that would be a disaster at Loudon, or any bigger track for that matter. I'm guessing that since they run 3 groups, that would be about 28 people on track at a time, which I believe is the same as any other trackday org.

Yes, until we can make the following adjustment to the Registration Form.

If you noticed on our Registration Form, in the top right hand corner there is a spot for an NESR user name.....I'll be putting another spot there for MotorcycleAddicts user names.

You would simply input your forum user name in this spot and then at the bottom of the form under "Payment Amount" input $189.00 price and pay that amount.

We have you input your user name to validate the lower price. It'll be simple for us to identify which user names are valid and which are not (if any).

Remember - the whole idea here is to draw more people to your forum so it can grow, and give your members an opportunity to enjoy the track if they want at a discounted price, just for being a member of your forum.

We'll get the Registration Form changed in the next day or two.
